- Find a quiet, private place, and tell others you'll be unavailable for one hour.
- Make yourself comfortable by reclining or lying down on a couch or bed.
- Wear headphones so that I may hear you clearly, and for your added privacy.
- Put your phone and nearby devices on "Do Not Disturb" mode, as well as "Silence Notifications" mode.
- Make sure your device is fully charged, so we stay connected.
✔︎ How long is a session, and what is the scheduling protocol?
- Each session is 60 minutes.
- Right after you pay for your sessions, you'll be guided to fill out a brief form, then to the scheduling page, where you'll schedule your 4 weekly sessions for the month.
- You'll have 30 days from the date of payment to schedule your 4 weekly sessions.
- There is no rollover for unused sessions; please ensure you've got them in your calendar.
- If you need to reschedule a session, it is perfectly alright to book two sessions in one week.
✔︎ What if I need to skip a week or reschedule?
It's super easy to reschedule as session via our scheduling app. If you're unavailable for one of the weeks, it's perfectly alright to have two sessions within the same week!
Do remember to schedule all 4 sessions within the same four-week period.

During the first 10-15 minutes, I'll listen to you, identify your main objectives and design a strategy for your success. After that, I'll guide you into a profoundly tranquil state of mind. Once in this relaxed mode, we flow into the healing phase of your session, where you'll be able to recognize the origin of your presenting problems and revise your subconscious programming for a positive outcome.

✔︎ How many sessions will I need?
12 sessions are recommended for deep-rooted change. Imagine your mind is like a garden - notice how plants need more than sunlight alone to survive. Your "garden" also needs fertile soil, water, and space to grow strong roots below to flourish above.
Just like planting, growing, and nurturing a healthy garden, hypnotherapy is a process. While everyone is different, I've found that most clients take 3-4 sessions to work through one topic fully. Some topics (such as healthy weight loss) may need more.
Once one issue is fully resolved, it's normal to experience another one previously overshadowed by the initial presenting problem to rise to the surface like a bubble long held down. A minimum of 12 sessions allows us to address 3-4 different concerns, effectuating more profound, comprehensive healing. Note that some topics, such as healthy weight loss, may need more than 12 sessions.
✔︎ Is hypnotherapy or hypnosis faster than traditional therapy?
A survey of psychotherapy literature by Alfred A. Barrios, Ph.D. revealed the following recovery rates:
- Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions
- Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions
- Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions
The 6-session 93% recovery rate stated above is an average - I've found that most of my clients can fully resolve one topic in 3-4 sessions. It's important to understand that when one concern clears up, 2-3 other, deeper issues surface.
The benefit of 12 sessions is that it allows us to address 3-4 issues, going even deeper to generate amplified personal transformation.
✔︎ Do online sessions really work?
Absolutely! The beauty of online sessions is that you can enter a deeply relaxed hypnotic state even more readily in the comfort of your own home than you might at the office, and you save travel time. While COVID-19 safety protocol made online sessions more commonplace, I'm pleased to say that I've successfully been working online with clients internationally for over three years.
✔︎ Will I be asleep during hypnosis?
You won’t be asleep; hypnosis and sleep are distinctly different by the types of brain waves they each produce. During deep sleep, your brain waves slow down to delta waves, thus becoming unresponsive to suggestions from the external environment. But during hypnosis or daydreaming, your brain produces slightly faster waves known as theta. While a theta wave state may feel deeply relaxing—and maybe even "dreamy"— you can expect to remain fully alert and aware. We'll even be having a conversation during your hypnosis session!
We all enter into hypnotic states every day - think of it as being absorbed by a good movie. The movie has your complete attention, and you're responding emotionally to it, yet if the doorbell rings, you get up and answer it.
✔︎ Is private hypnotherapy more effective than generic, pre-recorded audio sessions?
Yes, because we all have our unique mental fingerprint. While pre-recorded hypnosis audio sessions are helpful, they address the public's more generic needs.
One of the key differences between private and pre-recorded audio sessions is that private sessions keep you engaged through interactive components such as meaningful questions, or verbal recall strolls down memory lane.
The private hypnotherapy sessions you'll receive are highly personalized and custom-designed to guide you to the most rapid and effective healing possible for you.
✔︎ Do I need to be good at meditating for hypnosis to work?
Not at all! You don't need to be "good" at anything. If you struggle with monkey mind or meditation, relax: a skilled hypnotherapist can guide you into a state of deep relaxation regardless of your previous experience level. Thus, you don't need to be a trained yogi or a practiced meditator to experience the benefits of hypnosis. What is required is an open mind and an honest willingness to change.
While anyone can be hypnotized, the desire for change must be genuine for it to be effective. For example, if a client seeks hypnosis to quit smoking at the request of a partner or family member, their motivation is more external, and they may not be as successful. Conversely, the smoker who turns to hypnotherapy to kick the habit because they've honestly "had it" has paved their path to victory.
✔︎ Is hypnosis harmful?
The hypnotic state happens naturally throughout the day for all of us. Have you ever found yourself absorbed in a good book or a pleasant task and wondered where the time went? It's like that! The American Medical Association has recognized hypnosis since 1958.
An intentional session with a professional hypnotherapist will only bring you into a more expansive state of greater health.
✔︎ Will I reveal something I don't want to? Is hypnosis mind control?
Great questions! A common misconception about the hypnotic state is that like in the movies or with stage hypnosis (which is purely for entertainment) you'll finish with an embarrassing, fuzzy memory of what happened. This couldn't be further from the truth. Your hypnotherapist cannot make you say or do things that are against your morals.
During hypnosis, you rise to a higher level of consciousness in a naturally occurring state. Hypnosis is more about bringing you into closer alignment with your personal autonomy than it is about making you lose your mind. You can expect to remain conscious and in control of what you share at all times.
